Our Journey (So Far)

While Georgina Yvonne officially launched in 2023, did you know Georgina has been designing jewellery since and building her brand since 2012? Explore the work and dedication that has gone into bringing Georgina Yvonne to life over the years.

2012

At 16 years old, after a trip to London, Georgina left the city inspired by the cityscape, architecture and scenery. As someone from a small Scottish town, it was exciting to visit a city like London, where there seemed to be opportunity all around, particularly for fashion, art and design. Motivated to learn more about the fashion and jewellery industry, Georgina began to sketch up jewellery designs, creating her first portfolio of jewellery drawings and paintings. Interested in turning her designs into reality, Georgina began to read more into jewellery making. The first designs brought to life were created using wire and fabric as mediums. As a creative individual, Georgina loved the concept of bringing art into the world through any and all types of medium, whether typical or not. However, Georgina now had a passion for jewellery design, and set her sights on learning more about the trade, and designing/making professionally.

2016

After much practising and designing over the years, Georgina decided to try creating her designs in Art Clay Silver. Georgina also went on to study in the evenings at The University of Edinburgh on a silversmithing course. It was during this time that Georgina decided to start selling pieces on Etsy, and also secure the domain name for Georgina Yvonne.

    2017

Georgina then moved to London, with the intent of learning more about the trade and developing her skills. While she enjoyed the design element of jewellery most, she was fascinated in understanding how jewellery was made and the techniques used to create it. Introduced to workshops through work opportunities, Georgina began learning more about CAD design, casting, and setting work. From 2018 and onwards, Georgina was fortunate to work with the likes of Michael Rose, Faberge and Taylor and Hart, in fields such as sales, design and production. During this time, Georgina worked in the quality check department, giving her invaluable knowledge of jewellery quality, and the highest industry standards. These experiences taught Georgina valuable skill, understanding and expertise in the industry.

    2020 - Present

From 2020 onwards, Georgina decided to take her jewellery brand to the next level. Georgina began creating pieces through wax carving, before moving on to create designs using CAD. Georgina began working with trusted and much loved suppliers who produced the highest quality work. In 2024, Georgina began working with Aurelie, now Georgina Yvonne's Assistant Creative Director, who has helped drive the brand to success. Over the years, Georgina has ultimately learned that each piece of jewellery is true art. There is so much that goes into creating an engagement ring or jewellery piece, and being aware of the finer details is everything. Georgina's jewellery pieces are intricate works of art, crafted with heart from design to final piece.
