Georgina Yvonne: Our Golden Globes 2025 Favourites

So, we kicked off the year with the Golden Globes this week, and it was a night of shiny stars, beautiful gowns, and, of course, gorgeous jewellery. From the bold statement pieces to the delicate works of art, the red carpet was glittering with the most wonderfully crafted jewels. As the first 'big' night of the New Year, the Golden Globes set the scene for the red carpet trends we can look forward to throughout 2025. Here are our top 5 pieces standout pieces from the star studded evening: 

 

Adrien Brody in Elsa Jin

We highlighted Adrien Brody wearing Elsa Jin brooch designs in our 2024 fashion recap, and, as we can see, he is carrying the collaboration through to 2025. True to form, Elsa Jin's designs captivate with their incredible movement, and enticing organic theme. Her designs, although large statement pieces, compliment formal outfits and bring sparkle and glamour to a classic suit. 

 

Selena Gomez in Tiffany & Co.

She's newly engaged (the ring is everything), she's stunning, and Selena's Golden Globes outfit had her looking like a real-life princess. We are in love with this Tiffany & Co. statement piece - the emerald cut diamond drop stole the spotlight, with your eye immediately drawn to its beauty; however, we can't get over the diamond detail in the neckpiece. Beautiful! 

 

Ayo Edebiri in Loewe 

This was our 2025 prediction - by the end of 2024, we were seeing a growing trend of red carpet looks using jewellery to adorn outfits, and even replace parts of outfits. Most notable from 2024 was Bella Hadid wearing Schiaparelli. This year, Ayo Edebiri wore Loewe's beautiful pheasant feather as a tie. The statement piece is a perfect example of how we are revolutionising the idea of statement designs - they no longer look out of place, and we're favouring bold, statement pieces that are unusual yet integrate seamlessly into modern and classic fashion.

 

Zoe Saldana in Cartier

Zoe stunned in this show-stopping statement Cartier neckpiece. We particularly love how this piece lies on the neck - trust us, as a jeweller, it's no easy feat to perfect this cascade of jewels. It's also the gemstone colour placement that makes this design one of a kind, along with the assortment of cuts. The design is one of few that really had us in awe of its craftsmanship. 

 

Abby Elliott in Irene Neuwirth

Abby looked gorgeous in her diamond and pearl studded floral earrings. Pearls are the epitome of elegance, and Irene Neuwirth's designs highlight their timeless beauty. The large pearl drops immediately catch your eye, as does the movement of the central diamond detailed flower. Irene Neuwirth turns simplicity into statement elegance, simultaneously complimenting the pearl detail on Abby's gown. 

 

We're so excited to see some of our 2025 predictions come true already - this year is truly about merging fashion and statement jewellery in a way that we have never seen before. Soon, we will be seeing full outfits made of jewellery, mark our words!
